Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing and water sports at the mile long sandy beach with its crystal clear waters (10 kilometers long), which has been awarded a blue flag more than once, not only for being very clean, but also due to its excellent organisation. The shallow waters in Tigaki make this white sandy beach ideal for families with small children and for those who are not good swimmers.  Windsurfing fans will love this place, as there are many big waves to catch at open sea, however if you have never windsurfed before, but feel like trying, there is also a training centre available on the beach.
